Corinne Smith serves as Chief of Staff/Special Counsel. In this capacity, she assists in developing and executing CEO and organizational priorities and manages strategic initiatives and projects. She supports corporate and executive communications and helps to establish and monitor operating policies to achieve organizational objectives.
Ms. Smith served as Deputy General Counsel, Transactions for the HIT from 1998-2005. She has 30+ years of management and legal experience in transactional, operational, regulatory, and policy matters. She practiced at law firms in Boston, Washington, D.C. and New York, with a concentration in affordable housing, and was in-house counsel at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She also worked in international technical assistance programs and was a Foreign Service officer.
Ms. Smith holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a BA from Smith College.
