The National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) selected Helping Elders at Risk Through Homes (HEARTH) in 2006 as a recipient of its annual achievement award. HEARTH is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending homelessness among the elderly in the Greater Boston area, primarily by creating permanent supportive housing. The AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust helped finance HEARTH’s Anna Bissonnette House in Boston’s South End.
