Chang Suh and Chicago City Treasurer Kurt Summers focused on affordable and workforce housing investments.

“The AFL-CIO’s HIT commitment to investing in Chicago’s neighborhoods, particularly our most vulnerable communities, is an admirable effort that has a tremendous impact on our residents and union workers across our City.” Treasurer Summers said. “For over three decades, HIT has been dedicated to investments in our City with over $647 million in 41 projects that have total development investments of more than $1.3 billion in Chicago and has created close to 7,000 jobs. I applaud institutional investors like the AFL-CIO HIT that have made Chicago a target for their investment strategy to serve working families by ensuring all communities have access to sustainable and affordable housing.”
