Marketing Director Represents HIT at Pennsylvania State Building and Construction Trades Council Conference
Discusses the Benefits of Investing with the HIT

7/8/2010

HIT Marketing Director Lesyllee White was on hand for this year’s Pennsylvania State Building and Construction Trades Council Conference held in Harrisburg in June. The event provided an opportunity for White to talk to union delegates about the benefits of investing in the HIT, including the thousands of union construction jobs the HIT has generated through its investments in Pennsylvania and around the country.

“Today’s challenging economy is taking a toll on working families and their communities,” says White. “I think it’s important to get out the message that dollars invested in the HIT by union pension plans are helping generate union construction jobs and decent affordable housing for working families while giving America’s communities an economic boost.” She adds that the HIT’s competitive returns are also helping ensure workers’ retirement future.

The HIT has invested over $139 million in 16 projects in Pennsylvania. These projects represent 2,171 units of housing and more than 1,600 union construction jobs.

The HIT currently has 27 investors in Pennsylvania.
